Instructions for use:

1. The Tubby DIY Resurfacing Kit will cover even the most badly stained baths. Any chips should be filled first using an epoxy based filler (e.g. car body filler). There is cleaning powder in the kit which should be mixed with a little water. Using the sponge provided, give the bath a thorough cleaning to remove any traces of grease, oils and dirt.
2. The most important part of the resurfacing process is to sand the bath surface to completely remove the shine. This procedure must be carried out thoroughly to ensure maximum adhesion of the Tubby coating. Waterproof abrasive paper is included in the kit and is very effective in removing the shine from most baths. It is not necessary to sand down the bare metal. This stage of the job is probably the most lengthy, but effort will pay off in the long term.
3. The kit contains masking tape to cover over the waste outlet and plug surround. You must sand thoroughly up to these areas. When sanding has been completed, the bath must be washed down again and dried thoroughly. The small tin of hardener is then added to the larger tin of coating and stirred. After it has been left to settle, so the air bubbles gradually disappear, the coating can then be applied. There is a brush in the kit for the awkward areas around the plug and overflow. The rest of the coating is applied using a moltoprene roller which is attached to the roller handle provided.
4. Two coats must be applied. The first should be adequate to cover the surface ( not too thickly applied) to ensure there is plenty left for the second coat, which is applied approximately one hour later. The material is easy to spread with the roller and must not be 'overworked' as it begins to dry. The coating will settle to a smooth, shiny finish.
5. the bath must be left to dry thoroughly for 48 hours. It is now ready to use
