Given a sheltered spot and using early varieties, this delicious vegetable is now quite at home in northern counties.
Sweet Nugget habe medium long cobs with large kernels of pleasing golden colour.
This variety has an excellent sweet flavour, a super sweet type which means this type will need much more moisture to ensure successful germination.
Sweet Nugget is well suited to cooler conditions.

WHEN TO SOW
April to May.

WHERE TO SOW
Early sowings indoor or under cloches in pots, later sowings direct into growing site 2 seeds per station spacing 45cm (18") between plants in a block formation.

WHAT TO DO NEXT
Thin to strongest seedling. Transplant indoor sowings when all chance of frost has passed. Plant in squares of one to each corner 45cm (18") apart.

MATURITY
Early September onwards.

HANDY TIP
If block formula not possible, make 2 long rows to ensure successful cross pollination.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE
